Moon on March 25

Moon from Sunday evening, lunation 7.01 days. A very pleasant evening with mostly clear skies, thin haze, moderate temperatures (56 °F), and only fair (5/10) turbulence.

Images acquired with Celestron Nexstar11 telescope, F6.3 focal reducer, and Canon Xti camera. Stacked 10/50 with Registax4. Lunar features were moving around a lot while registering and optimizing, I was fortunate to get anything usable.

    Hi Vern,
Glad to hear that your scope is back in operation!.

  2. Vern Says:

    Thanks Andrew,

The scope is working great. The notebook still has a few problems. The frame grabber card doesn’t seat into the cf slot correctly. I took the notebook apart to the point of removing the processor board to get at the connector. There weren’t any noticable bad solders or other obvious problems. Its just worn out I guess! Nothing that can’t be corrected by throwing money at it.

Great capture Vern - one of those “reach out and touch it” shots which work so well. Looks like you have a nice imaging set-up. Cheers for the link to my site by the way!
