WOW! That is a really sharp image!.What were your sky conditions at the time of the shot?.When I took the same shot,my images came out a bit blurry. The sky conditions involved lots of high clouds.Perhaps, sometime in the near future, the sky will be crystal clear.Give yourself a pat on the back!!.

We’ve been fortunate to get some nice steady air over us the last few days. Transparency was very good to excellent and turbulence was around 6/10 even during the daytime. Steady air always makes focusing much easier. I also tried shooting with high ISO (800) and a very fast shutter speed. The image is a stack of 10 out of 20 images using Registax4. The experiment seemed to work well. “Neat Image” noise reduction software used to reduce the high ISO noise.

At times when I took my images,it was as if I was trying to focus under water. It was amazing to watch the image go from crisp focus to ripples in a split second. For a while,I thought my scope was out of collimation but,I attached a lasor collimator to the eye piece holder and the beam was dead center.I guess I just have to wait my turn for clear skies.Until then,I will keep doing my best and enjoy your shots!.
