Saturn on Dec 20, 2005
After being totally cloudy all evening, the sky cleared around 11:30 pm. I thought about doing some imaging then but decided to wait a few hours so that the moon and saturn would be higher up. I got up around 2am, anticipating good conditions, but by then the sky was quite hazy with not so thin clouds. I spent a half hour or so adjusting the collimation of the Nexstar, hoping the sky would clear in the meantime. No surprise, it didn’t happen. Below is an image of saturn through the fog with the Celestron Nexstar 11, Teleview 2.5X Powermate, and Phillips Toucam.
