The sun on Nov 30, 2005

Brightening still visible around region 10826 in this image which was taken about 3 hours after an M-class flare occurred. Equipment used was a Solarview 50 h-alpha telescope, Televue 2.5X Powermate, and Canon 300D camera. Skies were clear, no wind, temperature was 40 deg F, turbulence was 6/10 , and transparency very good.

A couple days ago region 10826 didn’t even show up, but is now quite large, complex, and growing rapidly.
