Just in case you are an amateur astronomer or otherwise interested in some of the fascinating things you may see up in the sky take a look at some of the videos listed at the top of the navbar on the left side under "Astronomy Video".
A couple years ago several members of the Longmont Astronomical Society asked me to start posting astronomical events that would be of local interest such ISS passes, Jupiter Great Red Spot transits etc. Since I was doing them anyway for my own use, I started sending them to everyone in the club with the subject line "Sky this Week".
December 2007 I experimented with creating a video version. I started producing the videos on a weekly basis in January 2008. Thus far they've been continuous, though they sometimes are a day or two late.
"Sky this Week" turns out to not be a very good search term as quite obviously "sky" and "week" are used extensively in many subject areas other than astronomy. Someday maybe I'll think of a better name!
Creative endeavours are often fun and challenging and at the same time very frustating. Almost everytime I complete one of the videos I think of all the man-hours I've spent creating them and wonder why.
